Qalat al Bahrain Culture Site
One of the most important archeological exhibits in the Middle East, this attraction was once the capital of the Dilmun civilization. It dates back to 2300 BC and is now classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In later years a military structure was built on top of the ancient mounds where the city had been buried. Today the Fort of Bahrain is an impressive architectural monument, and there is an excellent museum documenting the historical periods.Details
